COMPANY PROFILE

AIM Safety & Training Services was established by Paul Therriault CHSC, CRSP in 1995 as a result of restructuring in the petrochemical industry. Originally formed to accommodate small business needs in the areas of safety, risk management and loss control, the focus soon turned to basic safety orientation and compliance training and auditing for petrochemical firms and their main contractors.

Paul developed several safety training programs for WHMIS, Asbestos Awareness, Safety, Health, & Law, Health & Safety Committees, Confined Space Entry and Safety Watch, Behaviour Based Safety, Gas Testing Certification, and Fall Protection Certification and also developed and taught a Health & Safety course for a Human Resource Management Diploma program at Lambton College.

Paul volunteers with the Industrial Accident Prevention Association, is currently Chair of the Bluewater Chapter of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering and also sits on the CSSE's Board of Directors, and the Lambton County Safe Communities Council as a trainer and safety resource for young workers and those entering the workplace for the first time.

Paul has over 30 years experience in the industrial and safety field and AIM Safety was established with a focus on providing "just in time" training and safety consulting services tailored to the needs and priorities of clients such as Nova Chemicals, Imperial Oil, Shell Canada, Dupont and Dow Canada.

Designations and Certifications

Designated CHSC (Certified Health & Safety Consultant) by the CSSE in 1996.

Designated CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) by the ACRSP in 1991.

Certified in Modern Safety Management by the IAPA.

Qualified as a Health & Safety Certification Instructor by the IAPA.

Certified by Industrial Scientific as an instructor for Gas Testing Equipment.
